ORDER
Vide paper read (1) above, Section 3, Clause (li), under the heading "Syndicate" in Chapter 3 of
APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University First Statutes 2020 provides the framework for the
constitution of Syndicate Standing Committees to bring in more effective operations of the
University.
In order to support both the Vice Chancellor and Registrar, when the University is headed by Vice
Chancellor — in Charge, it was proposed, based on the detailed discussion on this matter, to
constitute a Syndicate Standing Committee on University Administrative Affairs, in accordance with
Section 3, Clause (li), under the heading "Syndicate" in Chapter 3 of APJ Abdul Kalam
Technological University First Statutes.
Vide paper read (2), the 41st Meeting of the Syndicate in Item No. S - 041 — OA6 has resolved to
constitute Syndicate Standing Committee on University Administrative Affairs consisting Of Dr p.K
Biju, Member Syndicate as Convener, Prof. Sanjeev G, Member Syndicate, Adv I Saju, Member
Syndicate and Dr A. Praveen, Registrar, as members Of the committee.
Vide paper read (3) above, as per the communication from the then Vice Chancellor in Charge, Dr.
Ciza Thomas, The Hon'ble Chancellor had directed to suspend the implementation of the
resolutions in Item No. S - 041 — OA6 of 41st Syndicate Meeting and item no GB-019-R02 of 19th
Meeting of Board of Governors.
Sri. I B Sathish, MLAand Member of the Syndicate and Board of Governors of the university filed a
petition at Hon'ble High Court of Kerala in WP(C) 7958/2023 to cancel the orders issued by
Chancellor though the letter GS6-3302/2022 dated February 27 ,2023.
Vide paper read (4) above, the Hon'ble High Court has quashed the orders Of Hon'ble Chancellor
to suspend the implementation of the resolutions GB-019-R02 and S - 041 — OA6 issued through
he letter NO.GS6-3302/2022 dated February 27, 2023.
