APJ ABDUL KALAM TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITYCET campus, Thiruvananthapuram - 695 016Ph: 0471 2598122; Fax: 2598522www.ktu.Qdu.in Email: firstname.lastname@example.orgNOTIFICATIONAs intimated through an earlier Notification. University was trying to publish the results ofSupplementary Examinations before 15th January 2021. Many a students, especially thosewith a single supplementary paper to clear the Degree, used to desperately seek response ofthe University on the delay in the declaration of results. This is to inform all students that the entire management of answer scripts includingvaluations has been done abiding all the Covid 19 protocols. As per Sop to be followed, answerscripts were even accessed only after seven days of exams. Moreover. the errors encounteredin the answer scripts management due to examination 'centre change' option had creatednumerous issues. Many entries from Institutions related with 'absence' and 'spare barcodes'were found to be erroneous upon scrutiny. It was observed that service of many facultymembers unfamiliar with the dig'tal examination cell activities were used in many examcenters (on alternate days) due to acute shortage of staff. As a result, the sorting relatedactivities got delayed in many centers adding onto a cumulative delay; many of which, demanded direct intervention from the University. Since the options for Examination 'Centrechange' is a new feature which was introduced for the first time, fixing the errors related withit took more time than anticipated. Moreover, being a confidential exercise. we havelimitations in involving more staff into the examination related data entry. In spite of all theselimitations, the Examination team is work'ng on it and University will try to publish the resultsat the earliest. It is also observed that students used to demand conduct of supplementary examinationsimmediately after the declaration of every semester results. This is to inform all students thatthe University is having a consistent system of conducting examinations at regular intervalsas per defined protocols. Conduct of too many examinations will result-in the delay ofpublication of results and will badly affect the quality of the valuation process. Hence.University is unable to respond to such unnecessary requests/mails from students. It isrequested that students may desist themselves from posing such requests for frequentconduct of Examinations.Thanking you for the Support.
